• Do trim the wick: Cut the wick to ¼ inch every time before lighting it to keep the flame steady and minimize soot.
• Do burn for a full melt pool: Let the top layer of wax melt all the way to the edges on the first and early burns to prevent "tunneling" (where wax burns straight down the middle).
• Do limit burn time: Only burn a candle for 3 to 4 hours at a time to prevent the glass or jar from overheating.
• Do place on a safe surface: Set candles on a sturdy, heat-resistant, and level surface.
• Do keep space between candles: Leave at least 3 inches of space between multiple burning candles.
• Do use a snuffer: Extinguish flames gently using a candle snuffer or by dipping the wick into the melted wax.
• Do cover when cooled: Put the lid back on once the candle is completely cool to protect it from dust and trap the fragrance
